Golden Windshield Replacement and Repair
Founded as a mining town in 1859, Golden, Colorado is a beautiful city with a rich history. It was the center of the gold-rush trade at the time and later became the first capitol of Colorado. Read below to find out some of our favorite things to do in Golden while we have serviced residents in Golden.
Clear Creek Trail
Walk along of one Golden’s favorite trails to begin your trip. Clear Creek offers beautiful scenery as you follow a Clear Creek to many other popular trails in the Denver metro area. The hike is relatively easy because of its paved trail and cool breeze from the creek. It’s the perfect escape for the whole family to enjoy.
Step into history for free as you take a tour of Coors Brewery. It was founded in 1873 when the town of Golden was a popular trade hub. Since, it has become the largest single-site brewery in the world—all while remaining in Golden. The tour displays how the company crafts the beer and sends it off to Coors lovers around the world.
Ever wanted to walk with dinosaurs? Dinosaur Ridge is a trail along actual Dinosaur footprints from 100 million years ago. The prints have been preserved as an archaeological site for the public to enjoy. Along the way, there is also Discovery Park where little ones can climb on dinosaurs and look for bones in the digging pit, and Triceratops Trail where they can see footprints of Triceratops. Bring the family and enjoy the dinosaur fun!
Environmental Films Festival
Every year at the end of February, Golden hosts the Environmental Films Festival at the American Mountaineering Center. The festival is the largest of its kind in the country with all films ranging from two minutes to more than an hour long. Enjoy the best food, drink, and merchandise that Golden has to offer as you meet other film buffs throughout the weekend long event.
Golden truly has an activity that will interest everyone in the family! And remember to call Mr. Glassworks if you need a windshield repair or replacement on your way to walk with the dinosaurs.
